Since I discontinued progress on The Lego Kit, I’ve taken to an interest in participating on Lego Stack Exchange. If you’ve been following my Twitter account you may have noticed I’ve been sharing my favourite questions and answers posted on the site.

Whilst writing an answer on the Lego Stack Exchange, it had become clear to me that a great deal of knowledge about drawing minifigures has stemmed from my experience as a designer for The Lego Kit. I was confident in my ability to draw a microfigure (the smaller counterpart to a minifig) despite never drawing a microfigure before.

Being able to express your ideas physically and digitally has great creative potential. It can help solve problems, but creates new problems you never thought existed. As a creative medium, Lego is limited by what you have.

Exclusive Red Dead Redemption Outfit

Sadly no progress has been made on the main part of the Lego kit since I last posted here. Today, I have found the time and patience to make an minifig outfit from the Rockstar game; Red Dead Redemption. I’ve been inspired by the author of the 4bricks blog and from playing the game.

Work In Progress

I don’t plan on doing any other outfits or characters from Red Dead Redemption any time soon. The outfits are highly detailed and aren’t easy to scale down to the size for Lego Mini-figures. In the future I would like to try making some of my favourite collectable mini-figures from series two.

A Modular Life

I’d like to introduce a A Modular Life. The blog is written by a AFFOL (Adult Female Fan of Lego) from Singapore who has made excellent Lego MOC buildings. She has done especially well converting official Lego sets into modular buildings such as this one.

Almost 50 leg assembly parts have been updated, however the parts under the ‘Trademark Lego’ and ‘Old content’ will be updated some time in the future. You can find out more about the new template on a previous post.

The colours pallets have also been organised into separate boxes and are now easier to find.

The new template will have the same head and torso, the only thing that’s changing are the legs. The shading hasn’t changed much with the new template, the gap between the legs are now shorter and there are now six shades of colours (were it was five before) Although this isn’t a major update to the template it will be beneficial in the future.

There are many items in the kit that will need to be updated, so the next update won’t be any time soon.

The next update may have to be delayed a week. The next update will focus on creating some new Runescape capes as well as some improved armour and more headgear/hairpieces.

It’s been six months since the I last added anything to the kit, I’ve finally got round to finishing of the helmets that I started last year.

Ok, so I accidentally deleted the blog, I’m not going to explain how but it’s back and I have to start from scratch. The only thing that has survived is the kit itself and a few images.

This also means I have lost the list of contributors. Which I have since recovered
